Part of our labor dispute with Great White is that it does not provide an employer-paid healthcare plan for all of its employees. Workers in this situation often have medical bills that they cannot pay, and the costs are transferred to the rest of us through higher taxes and medical costs. Not only does Great White not provide adequate medical benefits to its employees, Martin and Carolyn do not provide it for their own family. Our research has shown a pattern of the Palasches not paying their medical bills. Their providers are then forced to sue or write off a bad debt.
